Healthcare
Ensuring healthcare is affordable and accessible to everyone in our community.
Growing up, Avery saw her parents struggle to afford healthcare as the bills piled up due to her mom’s health condition. Her mom, was diagnosed with a hemangioma brain tumor when Avery was five years old. She suffered a seizure when Avery was in middle school, which resulted in brain surgery and years of recovery.
Due to this, she saw first hand the amount of stress that medical emergencies and pre-existing conditions can put on families.
Avery believes it’s essential to create a fair healthcare system, while supporting innovation and new ideas. Insurance companies and high premiums shouldn’t prevent you from getting the care that you need.
Small Businesses
Helping the small businesses in our community not only survive, but thrive.
Reduce Minnesota’s corporate franchise tax rate (which is currently 9.8%, one of the highest in the U.S), for small businesses with annual revenues under $10 million to ensure small businesses continue to grow in our community.
